Sharks get a bad reputation. Attacks are vanishingly rare. More people are killed by vending machines. Respect them, do not fear them.

Jellyfish are the real nuisance. Their stings hurt. Learn the species in your area.

Do not touch anything. Coral is alive and fragile. A single touch can kill a reef organism. Marine life is not for collecting.

Observe from a distance. Give animals space. You are a guest in their home.

The more you know, the more you protect. That is the point of learning about the ocean.
